Anti-Wrinkle Injections
Anti-wrinkle injections are a popular, non-surgical cosmetic treatment designed to smooth fine lines and wrinkles. They work by gently relaxing the facial muscles that cause lines to form, particularly on the forehead, between the eyebrows, and around the eyes (crow’s feet). We typically use Azzalure in clinic which is a trusted and effective product. it delivers a natural-looking result that enhance your appearance without leaving your face looking “frozen.”
How Long Do Results Last?
Results typically last 3–4 months, though this can vary depending on factors such as metabolism, muscle activity, and the area treated. Over time, lines gradually return, and repeat treatments are recommended to maintain smooth, refreshed skin.
How Often Should You Have Treatments?
Most clients return for touch-ups every 3–4 months. After a few treatments, some people find the effects last longer, as the muscles become trained to relax, helping prevent new wrinkles from forming.
Switching Between Different Brands
If you’ve previously had another anti-wrinkle product, such as Botox, Dysport, Bocouture, or Xeomin, it’s generally recommended to wait 3–4 months before switching to Azzalure. This allows the previous treatment to fully wear off, preventing over-treatment of the muscles, which could lead to drooping or a “frozen” appearance. Waiting also reduces the risk of developing antibody resistance, which can make treatments less effective over time.
Who Should Avoid Anti-Wrinkle Injections?
Anti-wrinkle injections may not be suitable if you:
- Are pregnant or breastfeeding
- Have a neuromuscular disorder (e.g., myasthenia gravis)
- Are allergic to any ingredients in Azzalure
- Have infection or inflammation at the treatment site
- Are taking certain medications that could interfere with treatment
